The Beginning - 2009
At just 9 years old, my love for filmmaking was ignited during a cinema outing with my dad to see The Dark Knight. The powerful cinematic experience, combined with the joy of bonding over something so visually captivating, became one of my greatest memories. It was then I realized the profound impact videos can make on emotions and connections.
Discovering My Passion - 2013
When I was 13, the modern-day TikTok was known as Vine, a popular platform where users showcased their short videos. This was where I first began creating videos with my friends. Through this experience, I learned firsthand what it takes to plan, film, and edit a complete project. My Vines garnered several views, and it was then I saw the potential of using my skills and creativity to create something truly special.
My First Venture: Creative Studios - 2016
At the age of 16, I launched Creative Studios, a multimedia agency that allowed me to channel my passion for creating visuals and films into a business. Through Creative Studios, I took on clients and helped them with a wide range of media-related needs, from logo designs and videos to photos and branding projects. It was an incredible opportunity to apply my creativity and skills in a real-world setting, turning ideas into impactful visual content.
Building My Career - 2018
By the age of 18, I had built a solid reputation and began working with larger clients and securing retainer contracts. My skills were continuously evolving as I took on bigger projects around my city, marking a significant milestone in my career.
Overcoming Challenges - 2020
At 21, the lockdown brought everything to a halt, disrupting my progress and causing me to lose track of my fitness, vision, and goals. During this difficult time, I let myself go physically, turning to binge eating and neglecting my health. However, this period of struggle also served as a catalyst for change. It pushed me to reflect deeply on what I wanted in life and fueled my determination to make a complete body transformation.
I focused on finishing my university education and made a promise to myself: once I graduated, I would return to my childhood dream of becoming a videographer who creates videos that resonate deeply with audiences and clients alike. The discipline I developed through my fitness journey (you can read more about below) has since permeated all aspects of my work, helping me stay committed and driven in everything I do.
Finishing My Studies - 2024
After years of hard work and dedication, I finally completed my studies and graduated, fully equipped with the knowledge and skills I had accumulated within the videography industry. During this time, I worked with a wide range of clients, mastering my craft and gaining invaluable experience that honed my ability to create impactful visual stories.
Managing a Multi-Million Pound Business - 2017 to 2022
At the age of 17, I took on the role of front-of-house manager for Rassams Creamery, a multi-million pound business. Over the next five years, I was responsible for overseeing operations, including the hiring, training, and vetting of staff to meet the company’s high standards. My efforts contributed significantly to the growth of Rassams Creamery, as I tackled various tasks and challenges that came with managing a successful business.
One of the most profound lessons I learned from my mentor, Rassam, was the importance of staying grounded, no matter how successful you become. He taught me that true success isn’t just measured by financial achievements or business growth, but also by maintaining humility and never forgetting your Creator, Allah. This principle has been a guiding force in my life, reminding me to stay grateful and humble, no matter where my journey takes me. It’s a lesson that continues to shape not only my approach to business but also how I live my life every day.
Building a Global Brand - 2019 to 2024
In the past five years, alongside my videography journey, I embarked on another entrepreneurial venture—an online business called Smilezkickz, specializing in custom-designed and exclusively sourced footwear. I single-handedly scaled this business into a worldwide brand, amassing over 150,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, cultivating a loyal fanbase, and growing a vibrant Discord community. Smilezkickz evolved into a successful e-commerce platform, supplying customers all over the world. Now, with the brand running itself, I am ready to fully dedicate myself to showcasing my videography and editing skills to the world.
My Complete Body Transformation - 2023 to 2024
In October 2023, I found myself at my heaviest, overweight, and knowing something had to change. I set myself a challenge: to completely transform my body in one year. I committed to training 12 hours a week, waking up at 5:30 a.m. every single day for a morning run, followed by an intense gym session. Later in the day, at 6 p.m., I would train in boxing for an hour. I did this consistently for an entire year, allowing myself only one day off each week.
Alongside this rigorous training regimen, I was strict with my diet, meticulously tracking my calories and macronutrients, while allowing for an occasional cheat meal. This past year has been transformative not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well.
Through this body transformation, I learned the true meaning of hard work and discipline. I realized that achieving your dreams is all about consistent effort and unwavering belief in yourself. The lessons I learned during this journey have translated into every aspect of my life, driving me to excel in my work, my passions, and my personal growth.
The Next Chapter - Present Day
With a solid foundation of experience and a clear vision, I am now poised to take my videography career to new heights. My journey has been filled with challenges, growth, and success, and I’m excited to continue creating content that resonates with audiences and clients alike. The world is my canvas, and I’m ready to paint it with the stories I capture through my lens.
I am more than equipped to take on the opportunities that the world has to offer. My experience managing a multi-million pound business at Rassams Creamery, single-handedly growing a successful e-commerce platform and an engaging fan base with Smilezkickz, and years of studying the craft of videography and nurturing my love for film have all prepared me for this moment.
Additionally, my recent body transformation has reinforced the values of discipline, hard work, and perseverance. Over the past year, I committed to a rigorous fitness routine and strict diet, achieving a complete physical transformation. This journey taught me that consistent effort and belief can turn any dream into reality. I'm now ready to bring everything I've learned to the table, creating impactful, unforgettable visual stories that leave a lasting impression.
